From behind the Opera House, a few steps to the north (along Water Street) to view more of the Farrell buildings under the Maple Street Bridge. Then back to Main Street to continue my trek...

I continued down Main Street, until I got to Tremont Street. Again, there is a striking view as I climbed the hill. Many images were taken this day, as well as from years gone by. My grandfather, Alexander, was born in the house at the top of the hill, at 98 Tremont Street. The stairwell is now blocked off - and I recalled how just a few years earlier, I was able to freely walk it.

From the wall at the top of the hill (front of 98-100 Tremont Street) - facing west. The last 2 photographs will give you a great perspective on how this trip was perceived by me...

I headed home, anxious to see the photos taken. I live about halfway up to the top of some very steep hilliage. From this day I not only got a glimpse of history - I also got a first hand experience in an irony of Ansonia as a whole: You know? The first bicycle patent in the U.S. came out from here - yet, with all the hills, not so many ride!
